It seems like crafting defaults to using stuff in the workshop storage before taking it from your inventory, at least for some things. So I came up with this easy way (providing you have supply lines set up of course) to collect the purified water (as well as bottlecaps) that your settlements generate without having to visit them.

Located in Cooking-Utility:
100 purified water crafts 100 purified water
100 bottlecaps crafts 100 bottlecaps
Just keep crafting until you see start seeing item removed.

Only problem is I can’t figure out how to remove xp from the crafting so it could be considered an exploit.
