Two ReShades of Fallout
–Introduction–
Two ReShades of Fallout is something I decided to create in my spare time, which consists of two ReShade presets. These offer improved visuals (completely subjective) and variants to suit each users preference. I’ve provided some shots below for a comparison, so that you can make your own decision on which preset you prefer, or maybe you like both? That’s for you to decide. 🙂
Numerous effects have be used during creation, like Lumasharpen, Ambient Lighting, Bloom, Curves, Depth of Field etc.
(mod recommendations below, as well as a few tweaks that will enable the depth of field, which will be great for screenshots)

–Installation–
1) Download either preset of your choice and extract the contents into your Fallout 4 directory – Steam/Steamapps/Common/Fallout 4 – for example.
2) Download ReShade itself and extract its contents into your Fallout 4 directory (Just like above) and DON’T OVERWRITE ANYTHING.
(Or to prevent clutter within the directory, just copy both the ReShade folder and the ReShade64.dll and please don’t overwrite anything!)
3) Then delete the ReShade32.dll and rename the ReShade64.dll to dxgi.dll.
4) Launch the game and go shoot some ferals or maybe build a new dog house for Dogmeat! (Highly advisable)
5) You’re still reading? The installation process is over, go enjoy some gaming.
6) No seriously, why are you still reading?
7) Ah, so you’re on the wild-side? I see… Cool. 😛

–Additional information–
– By default the Depth of Field for both presets are off, to simply turn it back on; Go to the installed ReShade folder and open up the McFX.cfg and scroll down to you find – #define USE_DEPTHOFFIELD 0 //[DOF] //- Change 0 to 1. And there you have it. 🙂
– Also the border for the Vibrant preset (Vibrant only) is also off by default, so go to the same folder, but open up SweetFX.cfg and either scroll down or ctrl+f and find/search for #define USE_BORDER 0 //[Shared] //-Border – Change 0 to 1. 🙂
– The performance hit for the alternate is around 5-10 fps on my system (Which has a I7 4790K @ 4.5Ghz and two GTX 970’s in SLI, though only using one card currently) and around 5-14 on a friends system, who has R9 290x.
The performance hit on the vibrant preset is around 5-10 fps, which is on both mine and my friends system.
Thank you for checking out my first mod (albeit a visual enhancement but still) and happy gaming!
