The Nuke Rifle

The Nuke Rifle

REASONS!!!:
Ever want to cause massive explosions without having to lug around the Fat Man and deal with it’s slow, loud, and annoying ammo?
Ever want to snipe some Raider/Gunner/Mirelurk/etc. in the face only for the bullet to instantly explode into a miniature radioactive apocalypse upon contact with aforementioned face?

I know myself and my favorite video game character, MR TORGUE, sure did.

For these reasons, and many more unlisted reasons, I bring to you “The Nuke Rifle”. You can of course use it as you please, but I do recommend that you turn it into a Sniper Rifle.

AMMO/MODS INFO!!!:
The Nuke Rifle requires specialized ammunition called “Nuke Bullets” to function.

This gun was modeled after the Hunting Rifle and as such has the same mods available to it, however, certain mods will cause the nuke effect on the bullet to not work resulting in the weapons actual damage to be displayed and used in game (which is 0).

***DO NOT use these mods on this gun unless you want an extremely weak nonexplosive rifle: .38 Receiver (Changes the Ammo), .50 Receiver (Changes the Ammo), Suppressor (Ammo issues, it is not like the gun will be extremely silent anyway…)***

All the other mods for the Hunting Rifle that come standard with FO4 can be used with the Nuke Rifle functioning properly.

DISCLAIMER!!!:
The “Nuke” that this gun uses is modeled after the Liberty Prime Bomb, and thus the explosion, AoE, and damage is all larger/greater than a Mini Nuke. It also causes somewhat significant radiation in it’s wake for about 10 seconds after the explosion.

*As long as you do not use this mod for monetary gain, feel free to use this mod however you please.*

*****This is my very first mod not only for Fallout 4, but for anything… ever. So please go easy on me if I do not know how to fix or understand an issue that randomly comes up.*****

I am also currently working on about 3 more unique weapons for this game, but I am open to ideas or suggestions (PM me if you have any).

From a distance this rifle will not work the exact same as the rifle rounds because it is a different projectile, and the bullets do have a bit of gravity. So, for example, if you are 175 meters away from an enemy and looking through your long Recon Scope wanting to hit him in the head with supernukedoom you will need to aim a bit above his head to hit his head, play with it a bit it has a very minuscule learning curve.

INSTALLATION/ACQUISITION!!!:
The Nuke Rifle is a standalone weapon, and uses an .esp file. This file will go into your Fallout4 -> Data folder. If you have a desktop icon right click it and “Open File Location” then drop it into the Data folder. If you just hit “Play” on Steam then go to Program Files -> Steam -> steamapps -> Common -> Fallout4 -> Data.

I guess various mod managers will automagically recognize the .esp and check it off. I do not use one for FO4 and if you do not either then go here: Users -> (Your Computer Name) -> AppData -> Local -> Fallout4 -> plugins.txt. Add the line without quotes “NukeSniper.esp” under the Fallout4.esm in whichever load order you wish, and remember the load order number (Fallout4.esm is load order 0).

To acquire the weapon and ammo in game hit the ` key to bring up the command console. Then type in without quotes “player.additem 0X0013E7 1” for the weapon and “player.additem 0X009999 WWWW” ********The X is a variable and whichever load order the .esp is in enter that number in place of the X. The W’s are for the amount of ammo that you want.******** (Ex: If your load order is 5, then type in without quotes “player.additem 050013E7 1” for the weapon.)

CREDITS/THANK YOUS!!!:
Thanks to Bethesda of course for the game.

Thanks to the makers of FO4Edit as well which is a great tool with a very minuscule learning curve also.

This mod is brought to you from the sick twisted mind of myself, using FO4Edit, if you wish to use this mod or part of it in another mod please read the disclaimer section above, and give me some credit.

Thank you for your downloads/endorsements (hopefully), more weapons to come soon.

Enjoy your new way to nuke the crap out of everything!!
