The Beat Stick

Features:

Cryo Beat Stick: Freezes the enemies at each swing.
Flaming Beat Stick: Sets fire to any enemy you hit.
Disintegrating Beat Stick: Has a chance to disintegrate enemies
Electric Beat Stick: Electrifies any enemy you hit.

How-to-Install:

Currently since the Official Mod Manager is in beta and I haven’t taken the time to look into it I will show a simple guide on how to install this file. (If the team wanted PM to go over it I wouldn’t mind).

This mod uses just a simple ESP file so all you do is go to your Fallout 4 directory (via \Steam\SteamApps\Common\Fallout 4) then drag and drop the Data folder provided straight into your Fallout 4 folder. There shouldn’t be any conflicts.

After that you must navigate to your Fallout4Prefs.ini file. This will be located in the same folder as your Saves. The location is (default) C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\My Games\Fallout

* The [USERNAME] should be whatever the name of your Windows Profile is (press windows key look in the upper right of that window, it’s usually OWNER or ADMIN). If you’re having problems follow that directory there are other tutorials for finding that directory. (See installing mods manually)

After you’ve found the file open it, go to the bottom, and below [Launcher] add this line (if it’s already there replace it): bEnableFileSelection=1
That will allow you to use the plugin selector when you start up the game.

Now start up the launcher then click on the LEFT HANDLE area of the helmet and a window will pop up. Select zzBeatStick.esp and you’re set to go 🙂

TL;DR:

– Drag and Drop the folder into your Fallout 4 file (from the SteamApps directory)
– Make sure in your Fallout4Prefs.ini (in your MyGames directory) you have bEnableFileSelection=1 below the [Launcher] tag
– Click the LEFT HANDLE area of the helmet in the launcher and select zzBeatStick.esp and run the game.

Where-to-Find:

Go to Diamond City and you will find a box right below the Armor Workbench right next to Diamond City Surplus. Open it and have fun!

Other:

If people are interested enough I can/will create a tutorial for how to create objects and place them in game. It’s VERY annoying and moderately complicated.

This mod, if it seems bland, is just because it was majorly me figuring out a work around waiting for the GECK and I have figured out how to do quiet a bit without it. Again if anyone wishes to learn how to do this feel free to PM and I can come out with a tutorial.
