DESCRIPTION
Not a fan of how washed out Fallout 4 looks?
This is my personal ENB Preset designed to bring more vibrant colors, deeper shadows, and more realistic lighting to the Commonwealth.
I tried to maintain the original aesthetic as I didn’t want anything too “fantasy” looking. I feel I’ve achieved the goal so far, in removing the “washed out” look of FO4 while not straying too far from the original look of the game.
The result is more realistic lighting, blacker blacks, whiter whites, and colors that pop without feeling over-saturated. I’ve also done some work to enhance the clarity of textures and distant objects without introducing any bad aliasing!
So far I’m happy with the results, and as more features for ENB become available I will continue to update this.

INSTALLATION
1. Download the latest ENB files HERE
2. Extract the contents of the “Wrapper Version” folder to your main Fallout 4 directory (steamapps/common/Fallout 4)
3. Download TF’s ENB from the Files tab
4. Extract the contents of TF’s ENB to the main Fallout 4 install directory. Say yes to overwrite/replace everything.
Semi-Important: I should note that I did not include and enblocal.ini in my files. enblocal.ini must be set up to your specific system, so I didn’t want to overwrite one you may have customized with a “default” one. DON’T FORGET TO SET UP YOUR ENBLOCAL.INI !
COMPATIBILITY
Since this is just an ENB Preset it should be compatible with everything else (with the exception of other ENB Presets obviously)
You can use this in conjunction with ReShade and SweetFX though I do not recommend it as all values were tweaked with no other post-processing influencing the look of the game. It is best to just use this (and the mods from my recommended mod list)

A special note about Darker Nights by unforbidable: I absolutely LOVE that mod and understand that most of you are probably using it. Unfortunately ENB, at this time, does not provide many options for adjusting things like ambient lighting, direct lighting, etc. (as it develops I’m sure many of the features available for Skyrim will be reintroduced)
So as of now, ENB by itself makes nights pretty dark. When added on top of Darker Nights you get nights that are unrealistically pitch black, even for a wasteland with no power. Once ENB has more options available for adjusting the overall ambient lighting at night I will be readjusting those variables with Darker Nights in mind.
In the meantime it is recommended to play without Darker Nights unless you are willing to deal with EXTREMELY dark nights. Thanks for understanding. I will have a Darker Nights version available as soon as possible! 🙂
