Realistic Moon
Welcome one and all! This is my “Realistic Moon” mod as the default vanilla moon in the game is A.) Tiny and B.) Pretty much just a white smudge with no love nor affection put into it. So, i decided “To Hell with that!” and made my own. Initially starting out on a 4096 x 4096 canvas to get as much detail in as possible then adding a slight tint of Gaussian blur just to take the edge off of it so it didn’t look too sharp in game.
The textures come in 3 versions: 1k, 2k and 4k
The mod also comes with 4 Moon Size Adjuster .esp’s: Default (for the mod), x2 magnification, x4 and x6. Though i would advise if you are using the x4 or x6 magnification .esp to either use the 2k or 4k textures, to avoid texture stretching and the like.
This mod changes all phases of the moon, not just the full moon, 27 texture files have been made. 9 textures per resolution.
Don’t forget to Endorse if you like the mod, have fun!
This mod comes fully packaged for your ease of installation. All you need to do is download with the NMM and activate the mod once it has downloaded then follow the options presented in the installer. Pick one Resolution and one Moon Size and you are good to go! Alternatively, if you download it manually – extract either 1024, 2048 or 4096 folder (just one) into your data folder. Do the same with the Realistic Moon… folders, just pick one.
Q: I need more moon sizes! Can you do a different magnification?
A: No need – I already have a “Moon Size Adjuster” Mod – Use the ESP from the MSA mod instead of the ones provided here .
Q: What do I do if I like the mod?
A: Hit the Endorse button and leave a nice comment! It is how we mods survive.
Q: I decided not to read anything and now I have a problem.
A: Sounds about right, too bad.. Read.
Q: Fantastic mod!
A: Not really a question, but OK.. cheers!
Q: What if I have a problem and have read things?
A: Post a polite message in the comment section and if I can”t solve it, perhaps some one else can, failing that, post in the trouble shooting mod section on the main forum.
