Re-Ballistic – Realistic Weapons and Ammo Overhaul
This is mostly just a very personal mod. It’s something I wanted out of the game, as it makes it easier for me to kill enemies but it also makes them able to kill ME just as fast. It also irked me when I noticed all the mismatched ammunition or ridiculous names for both ammunution and weapons. If you have any suggestions on how to better or change this mod, feel free to tell me!
Quick note – While damages and ammo names will have changed, names for weaponry will not until you pick up a new weapon/drop.
Weapons:
– Weapons of similar caliber now do similar damage, no longer will your .45 Combat Rifle or .45 SMG somehow be stronger or weaker!
– Weapon damages have also been changed to a realistic value, based on projectile weight, speed, energy, tumbling, etc.
– Assault Rifle has been renamed to Lewis MK2, as it is too large and resembles an LMG more than an Assault Rifle. (Re-Chambered to use 7.62x51mm NATO instead of 5.56x45mm NATO, making it equivalent and smaller to the mini-gun and similar to the Lewis Firearm)
– Combat Rifle has been re-chambered to use 5.56x45mm NATO as it is a more appropriate Combat Rifle ammunition type.
– 10mm has been renamed to N99, the official/canon name for the pistol.
– .44 has been renamed to S&W M29, the official name the weapon was modeled after.
– Hunting Rifle has been renamed to Remington 700, the official name the weapon was modeled after.
– Submachine gun has been renamed to M1928A1 Thompson, the official name the weapon was modeled after.
– Minigun has been renamed to M134, the official name the weapon was modeled after and its ammunition changed from 5mm to 7.62x51mm NATO.
– Deliverer pistol has been renamed to Walther PPK, the official name the weapon was modeled after.
– Deliverer Pistol (Walther PPK) has had its ammo changed from 10mm to .380 ACP, the ammo the weapon officially uses and its damage changed accordingly.
– Plasma weapon has been renamed to the A3-21 Plasma, the official/canon name for the weapon.
– Gauss Rifle has been renamed to the M72 Gauss Rifle, the official/canon name for the weapon.
– Gatling Laser has been renamed to the H&K L30 Gatling Laser, the official/canon name for the weapon.
– Laser Weapon has been renamed to the AER9 Laser, the official/canon name for the weapon.
– Melee Weapons and laser weaponry have also been boosted appropriately to match the damages of their ballistic counter-parts.
– Weapon Weights have been changed to be more appropriate to their weapon, for example the Assault Rifle was much heavier than the mini-gun when modded.
– Weapon firerate has been changed based on the realistic ROF of the original weapons.
Ammo:
– Several ammo types have had its name changed to suit the weapons and their original/official names better.
– Shotgun Shells are now known as 12 Gauge Shell.
– .38 is now named .380 ACP, I did this because it couldn’t possible be .38 Special; as it doesn’t explain the lower damage when compared to 10mm JCP as well as being useful for the Deliverer Pistol (Walther PPK)
– 5.56 has been renamed to 5.56x45mm NATO, the official name for that round.
– 10mm has been renamed to 10mm JCP, the official name for that round.
– .45 has been renamed to .45 ACP, the officlal name for that round.
– .44 has been renamed to .44 Magnum, the official name for that round.
– 5mm has been renamed to 7.62x51mm NATO, I renamed it to 7.62x51mm as this is the round miniguns actually use.
– .308 has been renamed to .308 Winchester Magnum, the official name for that round.
– .50 has been renamed to .338 Winchester Magnum, as the weapon the hunting rifle (The .50 mod is for) was based off (Remington 700) does not fire .50; but does indeed fire .308 and .338 if chambered for it. The round .50 is rather ambigous to me, as it couldn’t be .50 BMG as .50 BMG is WAY too large a round for that puny rifle and .50 AE seems too small.
– Fusion Cell has been renamed to Microfusion Cell, the official/canon name.
– Plasma Catridge has been renamed to Wattz Plasma Cell, a more appropriate name.

– .380 ACP (.38) – 33 Damage
– 10mm JCP – 42 Damage
– .45 ACP – 51 Damage
– .44 Magnum – 59 Damage
– 5.56x45mm NATO – 68 Damage
– 7.62x51mm NATO (5mm) – 73 Damage
– .308 Winchester Magnum – 88 Damage
– .338 Winchester Magnum(.50 Cal) – 118 Damage
– Other weapons:
– Musket Base – 50 Damage
– Laser Base – 67 Damage
– Institute Base – 80 Damage
– Plasma base – 72 + 72 Damage
