Pre-War Retextures

The furniture in the Pre-War era is too bright, and the color gives off a cartoon vibe to me. Here I re-texture the furniture, cabinets, etc. of the Pre-War time for a much more modern and realistic approach using materials from real-world items. Best used with cip3000’s “Project Modern House” mod.

My goal is to replace all of the textures, bitmaps, and normal map with higher resolution versions of each Pre-War piece of furniture, cabinets, walls, etc.

0.1 – Initial Release
Re-textured the Pre-War Grill (which can also be used in Post-War world with cip3000’s “Project Modern House” mod). Need to remap the grill, and include a much higher resolution version of such.
0.12 – Re-Finished Grill
That last grill? Pfft. This is a brand new handcrafted 4K Grill! Texture has been changed to 4096 size, as well as NormalMap! The bitmap in-game matches the texture precisely (after some learning how to make Normal Maps).
0.14 – Kitchen Bar added
In it’s 4K, Stone and Marble goodness the Kitchen Bar has been added! At the moment it only replaces the PreWar Kitchen Bar, however I will roll an update out to replace every Kitchen Bar with this version. The top is white marble, with a Stacked Stone build and a square stacked stone base.
Issues: The actual kitchen bar inside the original house hasn’t been replaced. I cannot find that actual texture in B.A.E. yet. Hopefully I do soon. Also, there’s not a NormalMap for the stone yet which is a bummer, because every time I load it after saving the model gets very… dark. Difficult to fix, pretty sure I’m not saving it right. It’ll come along with time of me learning.
0.15 – In-Home Kitchen Bar added
I fixed issue #1 from 0.14. It shore is purdy now
0.16 – Kitchen Counters added
Beautiful wooden cabinets at the bottom, with a square stacked stone base matching the bar and a white marble countertop! All 4K resolution.
Issues: No 4K NormalMap updated to this. I want to change the specular map too to make the stainless steel a lot shinier. Can’t figure out how to do it without making the models VERY dark. Specular is also not in greyscale. Still no idea wtf I’m doing with NormalMaps. Tips would be cool.

If you haven’t done so already, you first need to edit a line in the Fallout4.ini for the game to read loose files.

Go to:– ……Documents\My Games\Fallout4 Locate the Fallout4.ini

Find the line under [Archive] sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\

Change this to sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\

Next, you will need to extract the textures folder from the archive you just downloaded to your Fallout 4 Data Folder.
