Nick Valentine’s Day

This mod makes it so that Nick Valentine, the Great Clockwork Dick, can finally put on something other than that damn coat. I mean, that coat is great and all, it is his trademark outfit, but there’s no reason he should be completely limited to just it.

This mod makes several small changes to Nick, and one major change. The major change is that he can now wear everything that you can. The smaller changes being that he can now be customized, and will take the Gen2 Synth battle damage effect. You now have ultimate control over how Nick looks, and what gear he can use.

What This Mod Does:
Changes Nick Valentine’s race, including giving him Gen2 battle damage effects.
Allows Nick Valentine to wear any outfit in the game! This is done by changing his race’s entry.
Allows you to upgrade his coat and hat, and upgrade anything else you give him so he doesn’t fall behind your other companions.
Gives Nick a decent revolver, aside from that crappy Pipe Revolver. It uses the same (NPC) ammo. If loading into a game where you already have Nick, simply take his gun and upgrade it with the .44 Revolver parts.
Gives Nick a skeletal Gen2 body under the outfits that ends up looking pretty damn cool. (See screenshots.)
Allows you to fully customize how much or how little of Nick’s body has skin over it. Simply craft the parts in the Chemistry station out of Plastic, and then equip them to him.
What This Mod Does Not Do:
Change Nick’s NPC entry. This means it will be compatible with other mods that change Nick’s NPC entry directly.
Change Nick’s Voice, appearance, or anything that you can see. He should look exactly the same when you first meet him.
Change his starting outfit. He will use a different version of the outfit (the one he gives to you), but it looks the same, and is simply the playable human version that anyone can use.
Change his skin or eyes. Some of the pictures may show different eyes and skins for Nick, showing that you -can- use these different retextures.
Most of the pictures show me using Improved Gen 2 Synths mod. If you want the same, go download it, and get the Nick Valentine patch.
Optional Clothing Fix:
Requires Armorsmith Extended to function!
Attach the Valentine’s Version mod to either the Lining or Addon slot, or to the Gloves slot, in order to make the human skin transparent.
This is the best way to make this work currently. If I handled this a different way, it would break compatibility with every mod that modified those outfits, and that is not something I want to toy with.

Issues:
His left hand will clip with gloves. I am going to keep working on this, but it may not be fixable unless I change his model or something. (I know how to fix this, and it is happening because the left hand and his face are both part of the same mesh. In the next version, I will be separating these into two models that I can manipulate separately.)
When he gets damaged, he takes on this sparking effect that doesn’t go away until you fast travel. (I personally think the effect is awesome, but I won’t be able to make it go away on its own until the GECK is out, because it is a script.)
Some people may experience Nick being unable to hack terminals. (I found out what is causing this, and it is fixed in my current test version, and will be out soon.)
If Nick does not sit down in the chair at the memory den for you, move to the nearby couch, and wait for 1 hour, this will get him to sit down. (I have found the cause of this, and it is currently fixed in the version I am testing.)
He can’t wear a good number of hats that most people can. I am aware of this, and it is slated for being modified soon.
Nick may not have his left hand still visible in games where you have already met him. Simply go to the chemistry station and craft him a new “Gen2 Left Hand” out of 2 plastic. In new games, his starting package should include the hand by default.

Uninstallation:
Before you uninstall the mod, be SURE to unequip Nick of all the items you put on him, or you could get crashes.
