More Hunting Rifle Receivers

I was dissatisfied with Fallout 4’s hunting rifle mod, .50 Cal Receiver. I both felt it was too weak and only served as a damage modifier, despite it being an upgrade to a larger caliber. As well as this, I felt the upgrade path was too linear, limiting play styles. There were several mods on the Nexus that modified the vanilla receiver, but didn’t quite achieve what I were looking for. Changes made are listed below:

Red: Receiver Name
Cyan: Perk required to build
Green: How it modifies the weapon

Vanilla

Hardened: Gun Nut 1 – +25% Damage
Powerful: Gun Nut 1 – +50% Damage
Calibrated Powerful: Gun Nut 2 – +50% Damage, +100% Critical Damage, -10% Spread
.50 Receiver: Gun Nut 3 – +75% Damage, -25% Reload Speed, +25% Fire Rate

Modifications

Hardened:
Calibrated Hardened: Gun Nut 1 – +50%, +100% Critical Damage, -10% Spread
Tuned Hardened: Gun Nut 1 – +50%, +25% Fire Rate, -5% Spread, -10% VATS Cost, -25% Reload Time

Powerful:
Calibrated Powerful: Gun Nut 2 – +75% Damage, +100 Critical Damage, -10% Spread
Tuned Powerful: Gun Nut 2 – +75% Damage, +25% Fire Rate, -5% Spread, -10% VATS Cost, -25% Reload Time

.50 Receiver:
50 Receiver: Gun Nut 3 – +100% Damage, +40% Armor Pierce
Hardened .50 Cal: Gun Nut 4 – +150% Damage, +40% Armor Pierce
Calibrated .50 Cal: Gun Nut 4 – +125% Damage, +100% Critical Damage, -10% Spread, +40% Armor Pierce
Tuned .50 Cal: Gun Nut 4 – +125% Damage, +25% Fire Rate, -5% Spread, -10% VATS Cost, -25% Reload Time , +40% Armor Pierce

New Receivers:
Tuned Advanced: Gun Nut 3 – +100% Damage, +25% Fire Rate, -5% Spread, -10% VATS Cost, -25% Reload Time
Calibrated Advanced: Gun Nut 3 – +100% Damage, +100 Critical Damage, -10% Spread, +40% Armor Pierce
(Experimental) – .38 Receiver: Gun Nut 3 – Base Damage, +50% Fire Rate, -50% Reload, -50% VATS Cost

I’ve also made slight tweaks to ammo drop rates so that you find less .50s and find more .308s.

TLDR; All receivers (sans .38 receiver) received a 25% damage increase. Gave variants on the tuned and calibrated mods. All .50 Cal Receivers are given a static 40% Armor Pen. Weights and Values change as well.

Installation

NMM:
1. Download
2. Add and enable in the mod manager

Manual:
1. Download
2. Drop into Data Folder which can usually be located on the path C://Program x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Data
3. Go into your plugins.txt for Fallout 4 inside your appdata folder and type in the file. Make plugins.txt read only
4. Go into the load order and type in the file, goes after any file that changes hunting rifles

Notes:
Will likely conflict with any mod that modifies the hunting rifle stats.
I am open to suggestions about how to change this mod to make it more balanced or interesting
