Modern Film Looks – ReShade

Modern Film Looks is a ReShade preset collection designed to give Fallout 4 a modern cinematic look.
Brought to you by nexus members, cryosleep(professional film colorist) and TreyM, from pure emulations of
modern film-stock, to cinematic color grading from popular movies, Modern Film Looks can drastically change
the feel and atmosphere of the game.

Currently Featured Color Grades:

For this look, we wanted to give the game the look of a recent DC Comics based movie directed by Zack Snyder.

This look has been very hue constrained, shifting toward a deep maroon, tan, and green color scheme, giving us the look of Eli.

The ever popular, often overused teal and orange look of the typical summer blockbuster,
this particular look isn’t patterned after any particular film but tends to be strongly associated with Michael Bay.

This look pushes the teal and orange look to the extreme, giving the game a look straight out of director, George Miller’s mind.

This look is our attempt to convey the dark mood from Nazi occupied territories during the second world war.

Scorching hot weather and warm skies is the name of the game with this look.

This look is from Christopher Nolan’s recent sci-fi film.

Installation:
Make sure the Direct X end-user runtime is installed. Get it here: Direct X end-user runtime
Download the ReShade Framework here: ReShade Framework
Unzip the ReShade Framework files into a folder on your system.
We recommend installing the ReShade files directly into the Fallout directory manually. To do this, you will need to copy these three things from your ReShade Framework folder, and place them in the Fallout 4 root directory: ReShade(folder,) ReShadle64.dll, and ReShade.fx
Rename the ReShade64.dll in the Fallout 4 directory to dxgi.dll. (The game won’t see ReShade if you don’t do this)
Copy your desired preset from the mod zip file into the root Fallout 4 directory and overwrite when prompted.
If you have not done so already, you will need to modify your Fallout4Prefs.ini and Fallout4Custom.ini located here: %YourPC%\Documents\My Games\Fallout4

You will need to add the following lines to the Fallout4Prefs.ini file below the section marked [Launcher]:

bEnableFileSelection=1

You will need to add the following line in Fallout4Custom.ini:

[Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
