Lunchboxes Uncrapified
LUNCHBOXES UNCRAPIFIED
Okay so maybe you’ll still be finding that fair bit of crap in lunchboxes. Sorry, wanted to diversify the loot list while also keeping the ‘gachapon’ feel (except with less remorse for all the money you spent). There are also a few items added to spice up lunchboxes. This is based on my head-canon that the lunchboxes would contain things people (specifically kids in mind) would have wanted to eat or keep for later.
Things modified by this mod:
All lunchbox loot lists (Save for the Robot List because Meshes and textures will have to wait for the end of January)
Happy Birthday Sweet Roll
Things this mod shouldn’t (and probably doesn’t) do:
Stop your lunchbox from making the party horn sound.
Introduce the cell reset bug.
Allow you to get the full Model Set within the first hour of the game (through lunchboxes alone)
Things I want this mod to eventually do:
Make more robot models. (and edit the lists to allow for a greater chance at all of them)
Make more models period (Characters in game, maybe power armor too). (same anecdote as above)
Allow for lunchboxes to contain lunchboxes. (Which in turn can contain lunchboxes)
Create a secondary type of lunchbox and scatter it around the Commonwealth. (GECK is probably necessary)
Put a word description on the Birthday Sweet Roll.
Customizable % chances for the normal rare and robot loot lists. (From worse than Vanilla [WHY?] to ‘Heh, what normal lootlist?’)
Compatibility patch with Mojave Imports (In Progress But it’s New Year’s, expect it by the second!)
Scripted Installer for item drop customization (In Progress Might take a few days to put it and all the list edits together.)
Removed from loot lists:
Plastic Fork
Table Knife
Pencil
Plastic Spoon
Dinner Fork
Plastic Knife
Table Spoon
Chalk (SERIOUSLY? CHALK?)
Pen
Added to Regular Lootlist (75% Chance Drop):
Fancy Lads Snack Cakes
Potato Crisps
Sugar Bombs (100% Daily value of sugar!)
Sweet Roll
Nuka Cherry (Was Originally in RARE Lootlist)
Ice Cold Nuka Cola
Economy Wonderglue (Was on the RARE Lootlist)
Reference to Rare Lootlist
Reference to Robot Model Lootlist
For a total of 15 unique entries. 1/15 chance for any item or reference on the list after the 75% chance.
Added to Rare Loot List (12.5% chance to drop):
Happy Birthday Sweet Roll
Vault 101 Suit (clean)
Vault 101 Suit
Vault 81 Suit
Vault 75 Suit (clean)
Vault 75 Suit
Ice Cold Nuka Cherry
Slocum’s Buzz Bites
For a total of 10 unique items. 1/10 chance for any item on the list after the 12.5% chance.
This means The Robot Model List has a 12.5% chance to drop.
There are 5 models (in vanilla) each one has a 20% chance to drop after the 12.5% chance.
Rates are noticeably better than vanilla which had the rare lootlist have a 12.5% drop. And the robot list was part of the rare lootlist >.<.

Mental reasoning for vault suits in lunchboxes (for people who think know these modifications are kinda immersion-breaking):
Vault 75 suits: I find it entirely believable Vault-Tec went about distributing vault suits to children around Vault 75 in an effort to bolster their original pool. (Remember, they were charging for places in the vault but offered free spots for children of poorer families) (also think of how the Vault 111 iRL gear helped hype the game up a bit)
Vault 81 suits: Some traders have probably already asked to buy old vault suits. (And someone selling to them for a “reasonable” price is plausible especially for those of the vault not bat-shit scared of the Commonwealth.)
Lack of Vault 95 Suits: The vault was full of junkies, sorry I can’t justify a Children’s lunchbox containing it.
Vault 101 suits: Vault 101 has been open since Fallout 3 (10 years) and the odds of families being created in then venturing out of Vault 101 seems plausible to me. Also, same coast. (Okay I just really wanted a semi-legit way to get this in game without resorting to the console.)
Lack of Vault 111 Suits: You are probably the only Vault dweller from Vault 111 alive. (No, Shaun doesn’t count.)
Lack of Vault 114 Suits: You find one in the game anyway, didn’t see a need since the vault was never really used for a stereotypical vault’s intended purpose.
