Lootable Power Armor Frames – WIP
THIS IS VERY MUCH A WIP AND IS NO WHERE NEAR THE END PRODUCT THAT I HAVE IN MIND, BUT IT WORKS.
If you know FO4Edit and would like to help me, send me a PM.
Draco856 added some NPCs I missed (thanks!) however I am aware that there are still a LOT of missed ones. I think I have an idea of a different way to do this, so until I figure out if the new idea can work or not (shouldn’t take more than a day) I’m not going to update the file.
Also thanks to inkjet456 for helping me test, and ShadowWhisper for reporting missing NPCs!
CURRENTLY:
– (Supposedly) any npc who spawns with power armor will spawn with an item called “Power Armor Frame”.
* THIS DOES NOT CURRENTLY INCLUDE NPCS WHO GET IN THE PRE-PLACED POWER ARMOR FRAMES.
– This item, when looted, will spawn a frame next to Arturo’s shop in Diamond City in a sort of “retrieval” fashion.
– If you steal a frame from an NPC that spawns with it on, they will STILL have the “Power Armor Frame” item, I CANNOT currently do anything about this. If it bothers you that you get an extra frame, just don’t loot the item.
– You CAN loot multiple frames, but they will spawn directly on top of each other making it look like you only have one. Make sure it ACTUALLY doesn’t exist before reporting a bug please.
WORKING ON/KNOWN ISSUES:
– Versions that spawn the frames in Sanctuary or Red Rocket instead
– Getting the settlement menu to spawn when you pick the item up, so that you can choose where to send it
– (Might need script/GECK) Getting the frame to spawn next to player (will make this optional)
– (Probably not be possible without script/GECK) Remove item from NPCs who get their frame stolen
– (Probably needs script/GECK) Getting the corpses removed from their frame
Installation
