Jack from Mass Effect 2
Jack aka Prisoner Zero from Mass Effect 2 & 3 for Fallout 4 by andyjs
Place the save file in your saves folder (Default is My Documents/My Games/Fallout4/Saves)
You may need to start a new game first (if you haven’t already played).
UPDATE – all the comments so far have mentioned the head size. Yes, Bethesda gave us large heads. No, there’s not much we can do about that (yet). But firstly don’t judge by the thumbnails, look at the pics (the thumbs are “squashed” which accentuates the height). Secondly, there’s nothing wrong with having a large head and/or a high forehead. And thirdly – you really gonna wonder post-apocalyptic Boston without at least a hat on?
I got a few hours in when I suddenly realised “That’s Jack talking!” I couldn’t resist trying to recreate one of my favourite gaming characters to go with Courtney Taylor’s beautifully cracked tones.
The main save is immediately after face and body creation in order to allow you to assign perks and her name as you wish. I’d recommend “Jack Zero” since she doesn’t have a real last name. As for role playing builds, I’m probably going to emphasize charisma (would you ever say “no” to her?), agility (she’s very nimble and V.A.T.S. can sort of stand in for biotic powers), plus endurance (she’s tough). You can obviously do whatever you like, just some ideas.
The optional save is shortly before picking up the pip boy and leaving the vault (all items picked up as far as I know).
She’s not a 100% likeness by any means, but this is as close as I could get with a couple of hours of playing around. She looks a bit older than Jack, especially as the nasolabial folds seem to be uneditable.
Unfortunately there’s no way I know of applying this to an existing character. If you want to try recreating it in-game here’s the basic options I selected (I started with the default female, removing all blemishes and makeup etc) –
Hair – Sound and Fury, colour Auburn (I think). Her hair is actually dark brown in ME3 but her eyebrows are definitely reddish in colour so I went with that.
Forehead – I brought this down (and the lower face up) to somewhat mitigate against the tall foreheads we’re stuck with.
Eyebrows – Thin Arched. Raised them as much as possible and tweaked the inner and outer brows.
Eyes – Worried 2, with lots of adjustments to size, angle and lids. This was the hardest part to get right (assuming I even have) – other eyes could work just as well (I tried quite a few). Colour hazel iirc
Nose – Pretty 2 with again lots of adjustments, especially to give a stronger and less “perky” profile (every single default nose is quite ugly and caricature-like). Nostrils and tip are fairly small and narrow.
Mouth – Smirk 2 with adjustments (down at the corners, more prominent lower lip). Jack has very full lips, but the fuller options seemed to have the wrong shape for her. This retains the bow at the bottom of the filtrum.
Added very light freckles and a touch of red blush (I don’t care what ME3 shows us, ME2 Jack was clearly a readhead). Plenty of eyeliner and some eye shadow.
Body is about halfway between thin and muscular.
And that’s it. Thanks for looking – if you like her leave a comment (or don’t it’s cool)
