Identify Power Armor Frames

This minor mod gives a unique name to every power armor frame. In most cases, the name will tell you whether or not the contents were leveled, whether or not it had a helmet, and which faction you got it from. In some cases it will tell you which NPC you got it from.

Using this mod, you can easily identify which of your frames need to be replaced (to minimize damage from the Cell Reset Bug) using any other mod that allows you to build a frame in your workshop.

ONE frame, with FormID 0002079E, is marked as SAFE from the Cell Reset Bug as it is the only one that is tagged as purchasable.

Some frames are tagged as “Unreferenced”. This only means that there is no direct reference found in FO4Edit, so it is probably used in a leveled list somewhere or via a quest script.

Of the frames that are marked as ‘Placed’ (eg, to be found in-world by the player), some are only referenced in the QASmoke cell, like the X01 Jetpack. All such ‘Placed’ frames are the ones most likely to be reset by the Cell Reset Bug, regardless of where they are in the ‘world’.

Sample Names:

Power Armor Frame [SAFE, Empty, Placed, Purchase Item] Power Armor Frame [T60, NPC Atom Cats Duke] Power Armor Frame [T60 Torso A, T51 Arms T51 Legs, NPC Raider Clint] Power Armor Frame [Raider Partial, NPC Raider Boomer, Leveled] Power Armor Frame [Raider NoHelm NoFaceplate, NPC Raider, Unreferenced] Power Armor Frame [X01 CoreNoSteal, NPC BOS Paladin Danse, QuestRef]

Is the data correct? I don’t know. The information comes from the game itself, Fallout4.esm. I have no idea if a dev got lazy and used a BOS asset for a Raider somewhere so don’t blame me.

There should be no compatibility issues, as few mods change this data. It is safe to uninstall at any time, and is intended only to assist your replacement process. Even if there are conflicts, just load it last and delete it when you’re done with your PA frame management.
