High Quality Impact Decal Retexture
This mod re-textures all impact decals.
– All decals are 4x the resolution of vanilla decals.
– All decals contain new diffuse maps and normal maps, and few of them new specular maps.
Don’t forget to endorse if you like this simple modification, it only takes a few seconds!
Installation:
1. Use NMM or drop Textures folder to fallout4 installation Data folder (where fallout4.exe is located)
2. Edit fallout4_default.ini and add/edit this under Archive: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\ and add , TEXTURES\ to the end, as in sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, \TEXTURES
Notes/future updates/faq;
– Please note that as I update, some of the images might be outdated, more or less.
– Impact decal? Impact decals form at the point of the impact of your bullet, as in faking real life bullet holes (and explosion craters) in objects and terrains.
– If you don’t want some decal(s), simply go to the mod folder and remove the corresponding image file. For example, if you don’t like the the decal when you shoot dirt just remove “ImpactDecalDirt01_d.dds” and “ImpactDecalDirt01_n.dds”.
– I’m open for CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. I am just a noob when it comes to texturing, so this will just help me.

v1.05 – Redid glass decals, they are now smaller and more white, making them much more realistic. Adjusted brightness of some textures. Made metal decal have a little bigger feeling of depth.
