Halide — Gelatin
Halide — Gelatin
I wanted a couple of simple and performance friendly ReShades to use to take in game “photographs”.
Halide is a black and white ReShade. It has a boost to contrast while still retaining a smooth tonal range with a small amount of split toning.
Gelatin is a colour ReShade. It has tweaks to contrast and saturation to give the game a less washed out feel without deviating too far from vanilla, although the reds do have a bit more punch than in vanilla.
Both have darker shadows than vanilla.
Both have a minor amount of Lumasharpen applied.
No SMAA or FXAA has been applied.
No Filmgrain has been applied.
The SweetFX.cfg file is the only one I have edited.
Both have minimal impact on performance. On my rig the performance drop is around 2-3 FPS, sometimes a little more, sometimes less. With the way FPS drops up and down when standing still in this game it is hard to tell sometimes.
Brief instructions:
Once the ReShade framework has been added to the game (http://reshade.me/).
Copy the Halide or Gelatin SweetFX.cfg to the ReShade folder to replace/ overwrite the default SweetFX.cfg
\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\ReShade\SweetFX.cfg
You only need to replace/ overwrite that one file, I have not adjusted the other ReShade files.
