Full Metal Power Armor Frame
The short story:
Changes the Power Armor frame from rusty, white and orange to full metal (jacket), baby! (Still in beta – But it’s good enough for release. I’ll make you a deal, download it now, but come back in a few days for the full version. Trust me.)
Install:
Unzip the mod to the following location:
Steamapps > Common > Fallout 4 > Data >
Full folder address: ( Steamapps > Common > Fallout 4 > Data > Textures > Actors > Powerarmor )
PLEASE NOTE: If you haven’t already – Remember to go to Fallout4.ini file in Documents/MyGames/Fallout 4 – Open it, and search for the line sResourceDataDirsFinal=Strings\
Then replace that line with:
sResourceDataDirsFinal=Strings\, TEXTURES
Do this and the mod will work!
To uninstall:
Just delete the files you unzipped, but leave the Fallout4.ini file alone. It’s fine and improved.
The longer story:
I was browsing for power armor frames. I didn’t care for the vanilla rusty colors, and some of the other mods just changed it all into black from what I have seen. I may have missed some mods though, so don’t take my statement too seriously 🙂 Anyway, that’s well and all, but I still want to see what’s under the armor plates while I play. So I made a full metal (jacket 😉 ) version. I looked at the individual parts, removed/added/highlighted colors on almost every individual nut and bolt on the armor frame. This is why you can see all the details, while still enjoying the original design.
So if you’re like me and you want a full metal (jacket!) armor frame, then you Better Call Lars!
Coming up next:
“Brighter version,” “Medium version” (Similar to current version), and “Slightly darker”
