Essential Grenade Launcher (Count9us)
Intro:
Remember those good old days in Fallout NV when you had that grenade launcher? Ya, …this isn’t that. I wish it had been though and I believe it to be an “Essential” weapon missing from my Sole Survivor’s (Lone Wonder’s) arsenal.
The Mod:
You can make it in the ChemStation pretty cheap with no perk req. I didn’t have time to do much in that area. I’m running out of time to try my modding projects before school starts.
I don’t know how to work with meshes/skins it is on my to do list, to learn how one day, so your stuck with the double barrel shoot gun for now.It has the unintended side effect of shooting more then one grenade for just one ammo. Also there’s a bug where it doesn’t read the just how much ammo you have for it but it will shoot it even if it doesn’t see it. Example you have 2 ammo, it shows 1 but you can still shoot both rounds.
About me:
For those of you following my mod learning journey. This will be my third “new” mod. Each one I’ve been trying to learn a new aspect of the game and modding. This was my somewhat failed attempt at modding a weapon. It took me two days to learn who to do it, the last 3hrs just trying to stop myself from blowing up! I had imagined this to eventually be like a mod I saw on FO:NV with all these neat ammo types to, which I never got to try because the author stopped supporting it and the file was no longer meeting the new standard. Which is why I don’t mind seeing more then one of each type of mod. One for choice and two some of them will stop supporting their mods do to life, a new game, etc.
After two full days of this I’m about to turn in the towel. Since it is usable in that my game didn’t crash and I stopped dieing from just pulling the trigger. I figured some people might have some fun with it and some modders may be able to help me fix the little issues. though given how no one was willing to help me learn how to make a fomod with my last mod I doubt it. If there seems to be interest from lots of downloads or support from endorsements i might be willing to give this another shoot at some point. One thing I did learn is just how little I’ve actually learned in the week I’ve been making mods, and have a much greater respect for those that can do it. Hopefully, you can cut me some slack it’s not easy to try and learn without help. Seems more people are interested in having you implement their ideas, criticizing your hard work which is free to use rather then supporting or giving helpful technical advice. Awesome people gave me good advice on how to fix some of my links and ways to make it easy for people to find my mods!! Will care of that when I can. Anyway Enjoy! and stay safe out in the Wasteland !
My other mods:
It’s Just Water ! (works from what I can tell, it was my failed attempt to try to make a fomod to put on this site so users can have
a menu to check off. Instead you just have several files that change/nerf the effect and value of water)
Essential crafting (my first and only “fully” successful attempt at making a mod for the first time to!!)
this will help make those baseballs for the ammo on this and many other crafting necessities.

I credit Bethesda for allowing us to not just play their wonderful games but play every aspect of game making through modding.
Also I’d like to thank Derpsdale who’s mod 8 in 1 grenade launcher motivated me to make an attempt at this before the GECk came out. I didn’t use his files to make mine (wishing now I had might of made my life a lot easier these past two days) but I have tried his mod and enjoyed it so much I want to give it a try. Please check out his stuff, it’s better then mine no doubt.
I would also like to credit all the modders that I have taken the time to make the mods I have enjoyed over the years from Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Skyrim, and Fallout 4. I can’t name all of them but I would like to make a Shout Out to Gopher on YoutTube who first showed me how to install a mod.
Finally, the TES5Edit and Modnexus teams, because of them we are able to enjoy mods and our favorite games for a lot longer then ever thought possible.
