This mod changes the bright white headlamp of power armors into dim white headlamp.

Why do I make this mod?
I like white lights. All lights with other colors ruin the original game theme and make objects hard to observe.
However, the default white light of power armor has too much intensity, making a “tunnel” effect that greatly hurt my eyes.
So I made this mod to reduce the intensity of the power armor’s white light. See the pictures.

[NEW] About the optional file
I made a new texture that turns the original light into a smooth light. That means there is no gap between the most bright intensity and the second most bright intensity, etc.
Remember the original Bethesda’s textures are all non-smooth.
I personally think the smooth light is better for X-01 Power Armor.

The installation and uninstallation procedure is the same for the optional file. It is standalone so you dont need the main file.
If you want to change from main version to optional version or vise verse, simply override the dds file.

Installation
This mod is small, it contains only one texture file(.dds), so you can
Step 1 unzip and drop it into the Data folder
Step 2 change in the Fallout4.ini from
sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\
into
sResourceDataDirsFinal=strings\, textures\, meshes\, scripts\, sound\, music\, misc\, shadersfx\, interface\,
(You can skip step 2 if you already done it)

Delete the file of this mod.

What is special about this mod?
There are already many light mods in the nexus but I cant find the right one I am looking for so I decided to make this myself.(Although I was greatly inspired by other light mods)
It is simple so it should be compatible with any other mod. If they change the same file, simply override it.
I use GIMP to change the dds file. If you want, you can do it yourself, just take 2 minutes.

The white PA hud is not included in this mod. It is made by other great people in the nexus.
