Darker Clothes and Armor
WHAT IS IT?
This mod is a texture replacer. It darkens and desaturates more than 50 selected clothes, outfits and armors.
WHY?
Cuz that’s mah steeze. I like darker clothes and armor. Most dark texture replacers on NEXUS make everything totally black. This doesn’t do that.
HOW DO I INSTALL IT?
Use a mod manager, otherwise read this guide for instructions. You can choose to install via a FOMOD installer (which lets you pick which outfits to darken), or use the ALL-IN-ONE installer (to completely overhaul the Fallout 4 clothing and armor aesthetic).
CONSOLE CODES?
This spreadsheet lists all items and their console codes. Open console with ~ and type “player.additem XXXXX” (replacing XXXXX with the ITEM ID you want), and it mathemagically appears in your inventory.

ANYTHING ELSE WE SHOULD KNOW?
The Combat Armor is darkened with both the palette file AND the specular map (making it less glossy). So if you overwrite this mod with something like the 4k Combat Armor Retexture, you may lose my specular map, but your armor will still be darker since my palette remains intact. That mod is excellent, by the way, highly recommended.
