Cressida Hair

Don’t like the vanilla Unladylike hairstyle but like Cressida’s hair in the Hunger Games? Then this may be for you.

Update6: I think I got most of the junk fixed, just still reinstalling everything…Anyway, I managed to salvage some of the mod files and I made a Male standalone as per LordAndSavior’s request. I haven’t been able to test it in-game yet but it should work 🙂

Update 5: Thanks to Indur32 for the suggestion on the fix for the white spots/squares that some have experienced, it could have something to do with the NiAlphaProperty. Unfortunately (See Update 4) I can’t do anything about it now.
Also, I’ve noticed there is a bug is the mesh rendering 2 strips of hair on the side. I’m not sure what causes it, because it renders fine in 3DS, Maya, Outfit Studio and Nifskope.

Update 4: You know that FO4 i mentioned in the last update? Well… it never happened -.- I ran into some startup config errors which took 2 days to troubleshoot and now I’ve lost everything on my computer i’ve done within the past month and a half. Which is basically all my mod tools, and now i have to reinstall them all on my last day off this week. Luckily, I only lost programs on my boot SSD and it didn’t touch my RAID SSDs. So, It’s definitely not as bad as it could be, but needless to say, it’s going to take a while to get my computer back on its feet. I haven’t even had time to check my FO4 directory. I hope it’s ok but all my saves maybe gone because their default location is C:\Users\\Documents\My Games\Fallout 4\ (last I checked anyway) and of course C:\ is the boot SSD. So I’ll see how it goes. Wish me luck 🙂

Update 3: I think it’s finally ready for Beta testing! Finally got the UV map sorted out and got it to render properly in-game (See Screenshots!) While, yes it could look better, it’s still a BIG step in the right direction! 😀 I also still plan to try to make this a little higher quality, but this being my first successful mod, I’m quite satisfied as it is for now. In addition to this, it’s been a WHOLE MONTH since I’ve had time to play any games. So, I’m ready to jump back into Fallout 4 for more adventures.
After I return to modding, following a little hard earned gaming binge, I’ll address other minor edit and updates including male compatibility, and a mirror flp so her hair is on the correct side of her head(Like Cressida’s) And of course, try to work out any bugs that may have been found.

Update 2: Good News! I finally managed to out the UV map and and create a texture in photoshop. I can get it working in Outfit Studio, but when I try to put it in-game(through OS or Nifskope) It won’t apply for some reason, it just shows the old messed up looking textured applied from the unmodified UVmap :/ I’m not sure what to do, but I’ll keep trying! (New Images Added!)

Update: Thanks to WhiteShades and Jet4571’s help it’s working in-game and is textured better, though I haven’t had time to make it its own textures and material. However, it certainly is progress! One thing noted though, going through the texturing process, seems to have taken out some somewhat noticeable locks of hair.

Unfortunately, I have the mesh done but something keeps it from being displayed properly. And unfortunately, I can’t get it textured correctly to save my life. I got the mesh to render and rig to the HEAD bone once, but I’ve lost the file since, and can’t find it or a way to replicate the results. For some reason, the only way I got it to render before was adding it to Mischairstyles.esp using FO4Edit. Every.esp I’ve created with FO4Edit or edited with it from a blank esp from Tutorial – Fallout4 Modding has either done nothing or crashed the game. Not only is this very frustrating, I’ve been working on this with all my spare time for the past 3 weeks, and it has come to the point where I’m just going in circles.

If Anyone would like to help me complete this, or point me to some helpful tutorials/solutions, it would be greatly appreciated. I’m uploading all my files that I’ve been working on. So, feel free to take a look and complete it yourself, offer suggestions, or make your own mod out of it. And Needless to say, If you complete it or make your own mod, I certainly don’t mind if you upload it yourself.
