COD Health Regen
I felt stimpaks were a bit game breaking because you can use them whenever you want, as much as you want, the effect stacks, and not only does it restore health but it effectively gives you temporary invincibility because they restore health faster than enemies can damage you. To counter this I’ve added a Call of Duty style health regeneration system and removed healing effects from all items.
If damage is avoided for 5 seconds the players health will begin regenerating at a rate of 10% every half second for a total full heal time of 10 seconds. Taking damage interrupts the regeneration. Vanilla non-SV difficulties takes 2.5 seconds and is not interrupted by damage so this should be harder than non-SV difficulties Here is a video of it in action
OPTIONAL
I’ve added an optional slower regen version. The SV version has a 10 second delay and then restores health at a rate of 5% every half second for a total full health regen time of 20 seconds. NOTE: Vanilla survival mode takes 25 seconds to restore full health so this version is more in line with that except that you can’t take damage while regenerating or it will stop the effect and limbs do not come back instantly so this should be harder than SV difficulty.
