Cinematic Apocalypse
**Cinematic Apocalypse Version 3.1 ENB Depth of Field released. No longer renders over HUD. 4-5 FPS drop. Not compatable with other ENBs
– Uninstall any previous reshade and/or ENB before install. Just copy and paste into game directory. ENBoost included. Still uses my reshade for color
**Cinematic Apocalypse Version 3.1 Less Depth of Field released. Reduced DOF effects for increased visibility during gameplay
**Version 3.1 released. Minor fixes. New performance fixes.
Yet another SweetFX preset.
I tried other preset but wanted something that provided more visual fidelity and consistency,while having little to no impact on performance.
This mod includes TRUE color corrections ( subtle levels, curves, vibrance,and bloom adjustments),
Scene consistent lighting (shadows dont stick out, if theres a light on one side of the room, the other side wont be strangely ambiently lit)
Improvements to ingame ambient occlusion (A simple tweak to Fallout4Custom.ini)
Sharpened colors (modified lumasharpen)
Subtle Depth of Field enhancements
Everyone ive had try it has said little to no performance drop on all types of systems whether they can max the game out or not so give it a shot it makes the image look a lot clearer. Works with steam overlay on my system but you have to wait til your initial log in notifications are done.
Workaround for Ambient Occlusion:
Derived initially from Simple Heavy Ambient Occlusion by XLSJ
Navigate to C:\Users\\Documents\My Games\Fallout4Open Fallout4Custom.ini
Paste the following in the [Display] Section:
fSAOBias=1
fSAORadius=400
fSAOIntensity=10
Right Click > Properties > Check the ‘Read Only’ box
Performance Fixes:
These tweaks to ingame settings are barely noticeable in game but improve your framerate consistency A LOT and keep it game-breaking bug free
Set Shadow Distance to Medium (Fallout 4 shadow rendering is very processor heavy)-
After that, to increase shadow distance with little to no performance decrease, open Fallout4Prefs.ini and change the following lines to:
fShadowDistance=6000.0000
fDirShadowDistance=6000.0000
Set God Rays to low (Big performance hit. very processor intensive)
Remove in-game framerate cap and set one in your graphics card driver (can cut the severity of in game stuttering in half)
– This can can cut the severity of in game stuttering in half during slow downs when rendering dense areas.
Open Fallout4Prefs.ini and change:
iPresentInterval=0
– Open your graphics card driver and under Fallout 4’s profile:
AMD
– Use Catalyst Control Center’s Framerate Limiter option to cap the framerate at 60- Download RivaTuner and use its built in Framerate limiter
NVIDIA
– Open NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Select “Fallout 4 (fallout4.exe)” from the drop down menu or click “add” and browse to fallout4.exe and select it > Scroll down to Verticle Sync and select “On” or “Adaptive”
Booting to a black screen when in fullscreen?
– Go to your game directory > fallout4.exe and fallout4.exe > right click > properties > compatability > check ‘Run as Administrator’
Want to skip the Fallout 4 Launcher?
– Go to your game directory > rename ‘fallout4launcher.exe’ to something useless. Now rename ‘Fallout4.exe’ to ‘fallout4launcher.exe’ > boot the game
Between the Mod, Ambient Occlusion tweaks, and Performance fixes, your game should be looking way better and running way smoother. Let me know what you think!
