Carry More with Power Armor
Tired of your power armor not meeting your standards? Tired of your power armor breaking down when you pick up that dead raider’s pipe gun or that oil can? Tired of wondering why you have higher carry weight outside of your powered suit of armor? Me too.
What this mod does
This mod adds carry weight to all power armor. The options for the amount of carry weight added are +100, +150, +200, +250, +300.
Why
I was tired of having armor with deep pockets, yet every time I got in power armor I lost overall carry weight. It just didn’t make sense and wasn’t very lore friendly. Why would a powered exo suit allow you to carry less than you were before you climbed into it? After looking for an existing mod that added carry weight to power armor, all I could find were mods that rebalanced or added much more than just carry weight. These are fine mods but weren’t quite what I was looking for, so I created this one.
Notes about this mod’s in-game effects
In game you may notice that your power armor is adding more than your chosen amount of carry weight (i.e. you installed the +100 file but are gaining +160 carry weight). Keep in mind that the power armor will still increase your character’s strength which also adds to your carry weight. Every level of strength adds 10 carry weight, so if you install the +100 file of this mod and have 5 Strength, when you get in your power armor you might find that you have 11 strength, which means your new carry weight would increase by 160 (+100 from the mod, +60 from the vanilla strength bonus).
Installing this mod
To install with NMM, select the carry weight option that you want in Optional Files and simply click the Download with Manager Button.
For manual installation download the .zip file. Unzip the file and copy the .esp file inside the folder that shows the amount of carry weight you want to add, and paste the .esp into your Fallout 4 Data folder (Default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data).
Compatibility
This mod should be compatible with all other PA mods. If you are having compatibility issues try putting Carry More with Power Armor after your other PA mods in the load order. This should allow you to use both mods together. If you continue to have compatibility issues please message me or post about it and I’ll work on getting it resolved.
