Brighter Vanilla Eyes
I really like the game’s character textures, but I think the eyes are just a little bit too dark – especially the light variants. I’m not a big fan of fancy oversaturated HD replacers (no offence), so I decided to just tweak the original textures a little bit. I think the differences I made are decent, but noticable. Maybe some of you guys like my edited textures as well. Take a look at the image section for comparison shots.
To use these textures, two steps are required:
Copy the contents of the downloaded file to “%Fallout4%\Data”. *
Open the “fallout.ini” in “%UserFiles%\Documents\My Games\Fallout 4” ** and make sure that “sResourceDataDirsFinal” is set to something like “STRINGS\, TEXTURES\”. ***
Have fun!
* %Fallout4% means the folder, where your copy of the game is installed. Usually something like “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4”.
** %UserFiles% means your User Folder, for me thats “C:\Users\Alexander”.
*** You might have a line like “sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, INTERFACE\, TEXTURES\”. Maybe even more. The only important thing is, that you have “TEXTURES\” in there. If not, the game won’t load the new textures.
