Craftable Enhanced Clothing
This mod handles two issues which bother me, 1) I’m always changing outfits/carrying around extra sets of clothes for specific situations, and 2) I horde outfits/armor to kit out my settlers, and it’s annoying keeping track of all of it.
1) That’s a merchant over there and it just so happens I’m low on ammo, better change into my charisma suit and see what they’ve got in stock. I’m here to turn in that quest, wait, let me put on my intelligence outfit to get bonus exp, oh you have another quest for me? Just let me change back to my charisma outfit first so I can ask for a better reward. Super Mutants, crap, did I forget to re-equip my combat gear?
If that sounds like your typical day in the Commonwealth you might enjoy Enhanced Clothing, new craftable items which combine all those SPECIAL bonuses into a single set.
Fatigues: +1 to STR, END, CHR, INT & AGI
Beret: +1 to PER, END, CHR & INT
Black Glasses: +1 to PER, CHR & INT
Combat Fatigues (req. Armorer Rank 1): Same SPECIAL bonus as Fatgues, but combines the resistances of Road Leathers & Vault Suits. Also adds the normally legendary-only effect of +25 poison resist.
Recon Helmet (req. Armorer Rank 1): Same SPECIAL bonus as Beret, but combines the resistance of Flight Helmets & Gas Masks. Can be worn over Black Glasses.
Besides poison resistance (because screw poison), the stats are all less than or equal to vanilla clothing.
2) Hello new sla- er, settler! You look like you’d enjoy farming Tatos for m- er, the community. But first let me dig through this trunk of miscellaneous armor parts to find you something that looks farmer-like yet offers some level of protection. Wait, I gave you a girded left arm and a boiled left arm but I forgot about your left leg, back to the armor trunk!
Now you can scrap all that junk armor and turn it into easy to identify armored-uniforms. All uniforms have resistance equal to the Drifter Outfit (5 physical/7 Energy) with the exception of Guard and Provisioner uniforms (equal to Spike Armor 10 physical/12 energy).
Everything but the Black Glasses can be upgraded with Ballistic Weave and Misc Mods (Pocketed, Dense, etc.). Feel free to make suggestions in regards to balance, recipes, etc.. The vanilla models used for the clothing are my personal preference, you can request alternate models, however I do not make any promises.
Retextures of vanilla models including Army Fatigues, Military Fatigues, Yellow Flight Helmet, etc. will change the appearance of these.
Comes in two flavors, Enhanced Clothing Vanilla: items are craftable at the Chem Station, and Enhanced Clothing AEx (requires Armorsmith Extended): items are crafted at the new Armorsmith Workbench. Only use one file.
