.50 Caliber Receiver for Assault Rifle

Ever really wanted to use up all those .50 rounds that Scrounger throws your way, but don’t really care for Sniper Rifles?

Well now you can! This mod comes with a .50 Caliber Receiver than you can craft for your Assault Rifle just like any other Receiver. It shoots hard, kicks hard, and all the bullets are gigantic! They even make those sexy crackling bangs that most giant bullets tend to make.

This mod is my first real mod for Fallout 4, made completely in FO4Edit. I’ve been tweaking in-game variables for a while, but I wanted to try my hand at actually sort of making a thing for once. I thought it’d be fun to make a gun mod that spat out massive .50 Caliber rounds and dealt a bunch of damage, while sort of attempting to make it balanced. I am, however, open to making less balanced versions of this mod, if they are wanted.

Features

Fully craftable .50 Cal Receiver mod for the Assault Rifle. It uses .50 rounds, obviously.
Damage is roughly double the Advanced Receiver.
The receiver increases range by quite a bit! Big rounds plus loads of gunpowder equals a far-travelling bullet.

This gun mod kicks like a mule, even with a full Recoil Compensating Stock/Suppressor setup. It’s a .50 Caliber round, and you’re (probably) not a super mutant!
It also knocks your total clip size down to a fourth of what it used to be. So drum magazines now hold 20 rounds, and standard magazines hold 5. You can’t fit that many gigantic bullets in your magazines, 5.56 rounds are much smaller!

Known Issues

As of right now, the kick on the gun isn’t always straight vertical, and can deviate horizontally. This isn’t really a bug, the gun just naturally does that! Most guns do, actually. If you want to remove the horizontal recoil, use a Compensator. This is true for all guns in Fallout 4.

Compatibility

As far as I know, it’s compatible with everything! Every single record is original save for one, which is essentially a list of all available semi-auto Assault Rifle Receivers, and I am fairly positive that what was edited gets appended as opposed to fully overwritten. If this turns out to not be true, tell me and I will work on making it compatible with commonly used mods.

Installation
It’s fully set up to install with Nexus Mod Manager, so I suggest downloading and installing it that way. Way simpler.
